I remember when this was gravel up against a chain link fence. This is now a very nice parking area. If you want to use the bridle trails in Umstead this is the place to park. Of if you just want to have a picnic in the grass overlooking Lake Crabtree this is a fine spot too. Plus, they have bathrooms.
New place! Solves a problem and this is good city service at work. People used to park by the dirt road while visiting and mountain biking at Lake Crabtree park and the Black Creek Greenway. Now, there is a nice parking facility! Excellent addition for people to enjoy the trails nearby.
Nice trail for running, walking or riding. All paved and a really nice parking lot and bathrooms.
There are three or four entry points to Lake Crabtree and through Parking is one of them. One can see beautiful lake. Entire area is neat, clean, green and well maintained. Plantation all around gives a decent look. Lot of options, cycling, fishing, boating, thick green trails etc all make Lake Crabtree Queen of all attractions around Cary, Morrisville and surrounding areas. Size of lake is amazing and it is clean. Only few people could see on this end during weekdays. Authorities must be complimented for not only being beautifully maintaining lake but the entire area surrounding it.
Great access to the Black Creek Greenway Trail. The lake is serenity at its best. Excellent place for a walk or run.
