These people were awesome. So easy, so cheap, and excellent service. I don’t regret going here.
I recently moved to the area and needed to purchase some items. Sunday, Dec. 3, I went into this store to purchase a washer and dryer, paint and order carpet installation. After walking around the store and in each of these departments no one approached me even though there were employees in the departments standing around talking. Frustrated I left and went to Home Depot and got great customer service. They got my orders and purchases.
Purchased a mini refrigerator here for my Washington DC FEMA Internship back in the summer of 2005 (long time ago), and purchased batteries and garage door openers here. Also my father purchased a ceiling fan here along with gardening supplies. I am a frequent customer here and come here about once every 3-4 months. Great convenient location & helpful employees. 4 stars instead of 5 since it is easy to get lost when trying to find something in the store...! ;)
The store has good selection, but prices are hiked up fir similar items in other stores or online - understandably, to pay for all the employees and huge building, but still... . I also had a relatively discouraging experience shopping ... though I was a bit dressed down so maybe that was the reason. Firstly, when picking out an item, two employees watched me, pretending to be busy nearby. Secondly, when exchanging this item a bit later (turned out it was defective), there was an erroneous attempt to give me a similarly packaged item with smaller price tag. Its not that I am voting this store down, rather just sharing my experience for the record.
Just had a great experience there. I called to ask a question and was promptly connect to the right person. When I went there to purchase an item, the same person who I talked to helped me (named Jackie) and had no problem answering all my stupid questions and told me what I needed to do when I got home with the item I purchased. While walking up to check out, the cashier jumped up and ran to his register to help me so I wouldn't have to wait in line. and he was very personable and engaging while ringing up my purchase. Then on my way out another employee came dashing out to bring a bag to another customer who accidently left it in the store. I was only there about 15 minutes. Awesome service.
