Awesome experience. Had sinus congestion that wouldnt go away. Went to Dr. Jones and he discussed my options and what the next steps were and what was cost effective. He showed that he actually cared and it frustrated him when the treatment is right in front of you but the insurance denies it saying you dont need that.
This place is strictly a cash cow in my experience. So far they've done a scope of my vocal chords, a CT scan, and an allergy test. I've paid $1,500 OUT OF POCKET and at my last appointment was told my sinus issues were caused by sinusitis and I need antibiotics. This much extensive and expensive testing for sinusitis???
At my first appointment Dr. Mann diagnosed me with "Silent Reflux" (aka heart burn you can't feel). He told me I had too much pH in my body and that was causing all of my problems. He prescribed me two heavy duty acid reducers and allergy medication. He insisted I needed to start a low acid diet and scheduled me for a video strobe of my throat. I did his special diet for 2 months, along with the meds, and my symptoms did not improve at all. The video strobe was completely normal - no signs or history of acid reflux whatsoever. Then came the CT scan and allergy test scheduling, even though I had insisted it couldn't be allergies because the allergy meds had no effect. When I came in for my follow up of those tests he said I had mild sinusitis and need three weeks of antibiotics, FOLLOWED BY ANOTHER CT SCAN. All of this for something a regular doctor could have diagnosed and prescribed in one appointment?! To top it off he once again "diagnosed" me with acid reflux!!! He had no idea we'd already been down that road! Not to mention I listened to him give two other patients the exact same acid spiel while waiting an eternity to be seen! I am disgusted with this place. I'm disgusted with myself for not trusting my instincts and continuing to see this swindler. Consider yourself warned!
I have been a patient of Dr. Spector's for several years. His "bedside manner" is terrific! If you go to an ENT doc, sooner or later, there will be a need to send a scope through your nasal cavity, down to the back of your throat. This is an uncomfortable, but not really painful, procedure. When I've had it done, Dr. Spector moves gently and talks me through the procedure in such a soft and reassuring way. You feel like you're being hypnotized and then ... it's over. Besides his wonderful manner, he has given me great medical care. He has relieved me of pain and coached me on how to avoid it in the future. I recommend him highly! I will add that the office staff members have always been friendly and efficient, making my visits to Mann ENT pleasant ones.
I would highly recommend Mann Ear Nose & Throat. Everyone was professional and friendly. My wait time was very short and Dr. Mann explained everything very thoroughly and made me feel at ease. All the staff was so efficient and very accommodating.
Great place and they will work with you on the bill as well.
Wonderful treatment and great staff! I would highly recommend everyone from my nurse Tammy to Dr. Spector, who spent a lot of time answering my questions and coming up with a reassuring treatment plan. They treated me like a family member instead of a number.
