Understaffed and poorly managed.
We tried to watch the a morning showing of the new star wars movie. 10 minutes before the movie was set to start, it appeared relatively empty, yet none of the seats were available for purchase. I very much doubt that every seat in that empty theater was actually filled. Rather, the ticket machine was probably experiencing an error. We attempted to settle for the 3d show that had just started, but while the machine processed my card, it didn't give us our tickets.
A fun location for everyone. Food, bar with out door seating, movie theater, arcade and bowling. If you don't want to bowl the you can watch. Lots of different seating options. Over all nicely laid out. Good parking and lots of places to eat nearby
Theater picture and sound quality are definitely top notch. However, the food and service are lacking for the price. Having experienced “dine & recline” with multiple other chains, Frank Theatres doesn’t quite stack up. You get service prior to the start of the film “but after that you can go to the bar and they’ll still deliver your order” according to our server. I’m not a local so it’s doubtful I’ll return. I recommend the theater for movies and concessions but would give the dining piece a pass. Given the prices, though, if you’re not going for the service portion I say just do someplace else.
This is a beautiful theatre with a lot of cool amenities. I love the comfortable reclining seats and the stadium feel. There are a few choices for "dine and recline" in my area but Franks in closest to my home so I have been going there. I am considering driving a little farther in the future because of the sub par service I have received the past three times I have gone to Franks. The website asks that "Dine and Recline" people show up thirty minutes before showtime so they can get waited on. My last three visits the servers show up late. One time our whole theatre was waiting on someone so I finally went back up to the service area and got my food myself. I usually take my mother to the movies so I usually end up dropping around $80 each time we go. I expect better service when i am shelling out that kind of cash.
The single employee doing anything but waiting passively to check the scant number of tickets was in concessions. This employee took a very long time to look at the machine, despite there being no customers at concessions. When this was finally accomplished, the employee gave the machine a cursory look, informed us that there was indeed an error light on, and proceeded back to concessions to help another customer, without offering any kind of solution or even telling us they couldn't help us.
I went with a group from work. It was a very nice atmosphere. There were two corporate groups in the bowling and games area including us. The service was quite good. They made sure the food and drinks were adequately stocked without bring overbearing or in the way. We had a really good time in a relaxed, clean and fun space. I'd recommend this anyone.
