The Olive Garden has never been my favorite restaurant . When I'm traveling or in a new place and looking for a 'known entity', it was always a safe bet. I ended up going to an Olive Garden once or twice a year. My teenage daughter decided she wanted to go there for her birthday, last week.

Kids menu pasta shells are perfect for young kids just transitioned to table food. No cutting into tiny pieces! Easy place and very accommodating for kids. My husband and I could enjoy our meal and spend a relaxing dinner together for our anniversary, WITH our one year old. The staff was awesome and the food was perfect!!

I have never had a problem ordering the same order until tonight. On the phone with a Brittany who stated they couldn't do the same order I get every month? Seems very Odd to me.... I would rather drive to the one on capital to get the same order which suprisingly they were able to do!!! Seems fishy to me trying to make me pay for something I didn't want in my order.

Good night, Olive Garden.

I went to Olive Garden today with a gift card, thinking, "How bad could it be?" I had chicken & gnocchi soup, breadsticks, and spaghetti and meatballs (nothing too creative, but it hit the spot). No, it doesn't taste like extremely authentic Italian food. But all of my food tasted great, from the soup to the breadsticks to my spaghetti. The portions were extremely generous compared to a lot of places where endless anything is unheard of. I brought it all home and ending up spending very little for the amount of food that I got. The verdict? Everyone hates Olive Garden, but I think they're evaluating it from the wrong perspective. It's not fine dining; it's pretty tasty, but cheap and filling Italian-inspired fare, and I had no problem with paying for my food and taking it home as leftovers for tomorrow. Would go back (to this one at least) again. Only gave a 4star due to my waiter being absolutely unaware of the concept of filling a glass of water (even when I told him he could just bring 2 cups so he didn't have to come back!)

What a disappointment. Something happened since I last visited a year ago. It was always 'just OK 'Italian fast food'. A notch better than McDonalds. Now it isn't even that. The serving sizes seemed to be 2/3 what they used to be and everything was salty and tasteless. To add agony to injury, it was expensive for what we got. Never again.

This Olive Garden has very nice service. The choice of wine is ok, I feel like the ingredients/tase are different here but it must just be me. The ambience is nice, and maybe slightly better than another Italian Restaurant that I go to. I recommend going here when family visits for it affordable prices. Overall, since moving to Cary I really enjoy coming here.
