I am beyond impressed with this place!!! We were sent here after the NCSU animal hospital couldn’t treat my dog because she was “too aggressive.” My dog hates the vet. Has had bad experiences at the vet. So when she’s in pain it’s natural that she’d freak out. The staff here was told before hand and we were greeted at the door with all the necessary stuff to help our dog before we brought her inside. Sara Leigh is amazing! There was an amazing tech who loved on our sweet girl despite her being a grumpy puppy. We were told up front about costs and procedures. We wish we would have just come here first. Even though it was Christmas Day and our doggo was hurt we were very impressed with this facility. Thank you so much! You guys are amazing.
Very impressed. My dog needed emergency surgery, I live in Wilmington and wanted to get my baby to the best facility. I am so grateful I took him here. I believe it was a decision that saved his life. The staff was very kind, professional and knowledgeable. I was able to meet the surgeon and get updates 24/7. His post-op care was amazing with a state of the art ICU. It did cost me significantly more to come here but its worth it. When you are dealing with a loved one, good care outweighs cost. I can sleep at night knowing I did the best as a mom to get him to the best facility around. Worth the money and the drive.
They were very compassionate and helpful when we came back in January to put our dog down. I was very upset and they were very patient with me. Due to the timing of everything our vet recommended them since it was later in the evening. Thank you for your compassion with our last minutes with Jackson ❤
Worst experience of all in January! When we found out that Stage Road was closed and were told to go to this place, we decided to. In the cold snowy environment, It took about 3 hours to get to your place. The dullards decided to charge us $1200 for all of this. They gave my cat Cerenia, which is also what my other cat gets, and some other antibiotics. She also had diabetes, which we were never told. AND we had to go back in the cold driving snow at around 9 o'clock at night to get her because they were so bad! Later on Monday, January 9, we went back to our regular animal hospital, which put her to sleep.
You know I was so disturbed by the encounter I had with this practice I actually went to see what the standard of care and hipatic oath is for a DVM. Because there was absolutely no compassion about welfare of the animal I brought here, everything was about money! There wasn't an ounce of concern for his life or anything unless I would spent on 1000.00 on a procedure which they were not even 100% that was the issue. I was offered however "a humane euthanasia" all of this for a possible urethral blockage. There was no consideration for the animal itself. I was literally left in tears because of how inhumane the staff of this practice is unless your paying the extremely inflated prices here. I am currently in the process of researching how and if I can file a complaint with NC veterinary medical board to address the substandard care the animal I brought in received that night and failure to uphold any of the Veterinarians oath dictated by the avma.
